Jompoint releases a new Joomla plugin – a plugin that simplifies the invocation of OpenX banners within Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.6

Posted on January 13th, 2011 by admin

We are happy to announce our new simplified Joomla CMS plugin integrated with the popular banner management platformOpenX. Prior to this plugin the only solution available was a Joomla module. The module (provided by OpenX) works very well, with few banners on a page but it may slow down your website if you have more than 3 banners.

The module works by making individual JavaScript requests to the ad management server for a specific ad zone. The OpenX Ad Server calculates which banner should be displayed for this specific zone and returns a specially formatted 50-lines block of JavaScript code. These 50 lines are evaluated by the browser and when executed they force the browser to make additional requests for visualizing the actual banner, as well as loading an image for tracking the banner impressions.

The day we have all been waiting for finally came!

The Joomla 1.6 was released today.

At a first glance with Joomla 1.6 you will get:

  • ACL – Access Control List (The ability to say which user will have access to what in the Joomla Backend)
  • SEO – Search Engine Optimization (The Joomla 1.6 has lots of improvements for fine grained SEO)
  • Speed – The Joomla core and a lot of the Joomla components are rewritten and optimized for speed
  • Power – The Joomla Core and The Joomla Framework improves and empowers the way we write code
  • Control – You can manage your content and you have even better control over your website platform
  • Options – Take advantage of the huge pool of components that come with it

And if you think that Joomla is not the option for you, you should read this (taken directly from the Joomla.org website):

Joomla is a free, open-source content management system (CMS) and application framework that powers 2.6% of the entire web.

This means that if there are 1 billion websites on the Internet, there are more than 20 million Joomla websites.

Expect more details very soon!

Folks that steal websites-LaWebDesigning.com

This post has been updated! Please review the post from 15th Oct 2010

It is nice to know that there are people who like our design so much and steal it all!

LaWebDesigning.com – They can teach you how to steal sites with ease!

We are wondering what kind of websites they make and design for their clients?!
They didn’t published any portfolio yet, so we guess that they are in process of stealing some other websites.

All the images, icons, bullets, css and html were not enough. They needed a content too :)
